Training Opportunity: Rogers Memorial Revolver Roundup

The Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Roundup is just around the corner! Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend this year’s Roundup, but I do want to make sure that everyone here knows about it. The course will feature some absolute top-notch instruction, the opportunity to see some really sweet revolvers, and the chance to rub shoulders with a bunch of other RevolverGuys. If there’s one revolver event to go to, this is probably it! I don’t want to re-invent the wheel (pun totally intended), and I couldn’t describe it any better, so here is the description of the course from the Eventbrite page:

This year’s Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Round Up will be wholly dedicated to Snub Revolvers. We will spend two busy days mastering various aspects of Snub Revolver use and deployment. The instructors will be Wayne Dobbs and Darryl Bolke from HiTS (Hardwired Tactical Shooting), Chuck Haggard from Agile/Training & Consulting, and Mark Fricke from AFTT (American Firearms Training & Tactics). All are retired police officers with extensive teaching backgrounds, combined with very extensive use of Revolvers in real world application and daily carry.

This event is set up as more of a means to keep the “Art of the Revolver” alive and education is the primary goal. We have extensive discussions and cater BBQ to the range for social time with the instructor cadre on Saturday night. We suggest that participants have a solid shooting background, but no revolver experience is needed. We highly suggest bringing a couple of guns. A combination of an airweight carry gun and a steel gun is optimal. We have loaner guns available if prior arrangements are made. Round counts will be kept reasonable based on the difficulty in shooting high numbers rounds through these small guns. 400 rounds should cover the course. We recommend several carry means. A good belt holster and a pocket holster will be required at minimum, along with reloading devices (speed loaders and speed strips).

This class usually sells out and we recommend early sign up. Dinner and Range Fees are included in the $500 course cost.
