I started my LE career in 1987 by attending the Park Service Academy, while working horseback for the Forest Service. I got on with a county Sheriff Office in 1989 and served 27 years. I had a three year assignment with the state police academy teaching firearms. While there, I was part of a cadre that rewrote the firearms curriculum for both the basic and post academy firearms training, as well as certifying firearms instructors. I started High Desert Cartridge Company in 2019. We produce over 60 different loads within over 30 calibers, and are still adding on. We use computer controlled automated machines that are able to produce over 250,000 rounds per month. In our 6 years, we have been mentioned in numerous articles both online and print, podcasts, videos, blogs and websites. We provide ammunition to some of the top firearms trainers in the nation, and have recently been chosen to provide ammunition to Smith and Wesson for two of their new revolver releases for 2026. We process 4-6 orders everyday and ship all over the country, which is the bulk of our sales. We have an outlet store on site. We support and sponsor local activities such as rodeo Queens, HS Softball team, county fair and a small low power radio station.
