For many years, East Coast RevolverGuys have had to enjoy the Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Roundup from a distance, because the logistics of getting to Gunsite on the weekend before Thanksgiving can be difficult.
To help address the growing demand for revolver training out there, our friends at American Fighting Revolver hosted the Snub Roundup in Sawmill, South Carolina, last year. The event was a success, and planning began right away for a 2025 event.
Bigger, Better
The 2025 event has been renamed Revolver Fest, and will be hosted at the Clinton House Plantation, in Clinton, South Carolina. Revolver Fest will be a three-day event, with a Demo Day on October 11th, and two days of training on October 12th-13th.
The 11 October Demo Day will provide participants the opportunity to see, handle, and purchase the latest revolvers and gear from all the big names in the business. There will be a number of live ranges where you can shoot the latest Colt, Diamondback, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, and Taurus models. Major firearms distributor Lipsey’s will also be there, with some of their Lipsey’s Exclusive revolvers. You can buy tickets for the Demo Day only, at $25 per shooter.
training
A selection of some of the best trainers from the Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Roundup will be on hand to teach small group classes on October 12th and 13th. Participants will get to train with notable instructors like Daryl Bolke, Wayne Dobbs, Bryan Eastridge, Greg Ellifritz, Caleb Giddings, Lew Gosnell, and Chuck Haggard, and benefit from their revolver expertise.
The training roster will be capped at 125 students, and as of this writing, there are only 40 slots left to purchase. If you’re interested in participating in the training, make sure to get registered immediately, so you don’t miss out! Your class tuition will include a ticket to the Demo Day on the 11th.
I’ll be presenting my lecture on the 1970 Newhall gunfight, and the lessons we should learn from it as armed citizens. It was a popular event at the 2024 Rogers Roundup, and I’ll be excited to share these important lessons with a new crowd at Revolver Fest. You might see me teaching out on the range, too.
FUn
Aside from the gear, shooting and training, there will be some fun social events throughout the weekend. Expect lots of good food and good times as part of the experience, just like we see at the Pat Rogers Roundup. Honestly, the social aspect of the Rogers Roundup is always one of the highlights of the weekend for me, because there’s nothing like spending time with your revolver friends, both new and old.
Make sure to head over to the Revolver Fest website for more information about this event, and to buy your tickets. I’m looking forward to seeing you there.
And don’t forget . . .
There are still some seats left for the 2025 Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Roundup, on November 22-24. You can register for it on the Events Tab over on Gunsite’s website.
It’s always a great time, to enjoy a weekend of revolver fun at the most storied training venue around. This event sells out early, every year, so don’t delay if you want to attend. We’ll see you there.
