SAC Tactical Essential Revolver Skills Course

Our good friend Bruce Cartwright will be hosting a two-day revolver training event in Bigfork, MT on May 16th & 17th, and we wanted the RevolverGuy audience to be aware of it.

MEET BRUCE

Many of you know Bruce from his teaching at the Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Roundup and RevolverFest, or perhaps from his writing here at RevolverGuy.  For those who don’t know Bruce, allow me to make a quick introduction.

Bruce is a top notch instructor with a background in federal law enforcement, where he served as a Firearms Instructor for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Supervisory Special Agent of the FBI Firearms Training Unit. Bruce combines this expertise with a passion for teaching and a healthy dose of humor that always makes him a crowd favorite at Roundup and RevolverFest.

As someone who has been fortunate to take several of his classes, I can guarantee you’ll enjoy learning from him and his capable assistant instructors, Wil Cartwright and Jack Andenoro, who bring their own expertise, passion, and wit to the table.

HERE’S YOUR CHANCE

One of the common questions we get after events like the Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Roundup or RevolverFest is, “when are you going to host an event closer to where I live?”  As you might imagine, it’s difficult to find an appropriate location to host a training event of that size, and the expense and logistics of putting something like that together make it difficult to take the show on the road to a number of states.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a better revolver-centric training program than the SAC Tactical Essential Revolver Skills Course, though, so if you live anywhere within a long day’s drive to Bigfork, MT, here’s your chance to learn from some of the best.

You can drive to Bigfork in 11 hours from Rapid City, 12 hours from Cheyenne, 8 hours from Salt Lake or Seattle, or 9 hours from Boise or Portland, so if you’re one of those guys in the Mountain or Pacific Northwest states who’s been waiting for someone to teach “closer to where I live,” well, hereyago.

GOOD STUFF

You’re guaranteed to get a good workout during the course, and receive a quality program that’s rooted in the fundamentals that win fights.

The course will be hosted at a private range owned by “one of us,” and he’ll help you with the logistics of sending ammo ahead if you don’t want to travel with it, so don’t let that be a concern if you’re worried about traveling light.

You can sign up for the course at the SAC Tactical website, and contact Bruce if you have any questions. He’ll be glad to answer them and get you set up to attend the best revolver training event of the month.

  1. Let me double down on Mike’s enthusiasm for Bruce Cartwright’s course. I’ve had the great pleasure to train with Bruce and his team at the 2024 and 2025 Revolver Roundups. At once entertaining and serious, Bruce has a gift for drawing the best from students of all levels. I live in Arizona but immediately checked my calendar to see if I could arrange to attend. Regrettably I cannot, but if you can go you should!

  2. I would give an enthusiastic “Second!” to Michael’s comments above. I had the good fortune to attend one of Bruce’s classes at the 2025 Revolver Roundup and it was excellent. I would highly recommend training with Bruce, Will, and Jack. They are good men of exceptional ability and they take instructing seriously- they provide solid and valuable training. If you can swing it, you should go.

  3. I checked out their website. Their courses sound like a great time on top of being good training! If I can manage it, I hope to attend.

  4. I’m signed up and I’ll be there- if anyone wants to shoot an MR73, or some VERY cool guns a couple of friends bringing, sign up for Bruce’s class. I can’t wait.

  5. I cannot be enthusiastic enough for how good an instructor Bruce is. Just top notch, and he is even better as a human being.
