2024 is going down as a pretty good year if you’re a .32 caliber revolver fan. The folks at Taurus rolled out a slick follow-up to the T.O.R.O. series they introduced in 2023- the latest one being chambered in .327 Federal Magnum. Continue reading “Taurus 327 T.O.R.O.”

Taurus 856 Upgrades
RevolverGuy readers will recall that I had a favorable opinion of the Taurus Model 856 Executive Grade revolver when I reviewed it back in October of last year, but felt the gun could stand some upgrades in critical areas like the grips, sights, and trigger. The gun had good bones, but needed a little bit of help to reach its full potential. Continue reading “Taurus 856 Upgrades”
Using Taurus Model 85 Boot Grips On J-Frames
The search for a good set of J-frame stocks seems like a never-ending journey, and sometimes it leads to some pretty creative solutions. I was recently introduced to one of these, and I’d like to share it with the RevolverGuy audience, because it might just do the trick for some of you. The Taurus 856 Executive Grade
I haven’t had much direct experience with Taurus revolvers over the years. I’ve shot a handful of them in .22 LR, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .44 Magnum, but outside of the .22, I’ve never fired more than a few cylinders through each. However, I’ve grown increasingly interested in the brand and their products over the past several years, so when the opportunity came around to test the premium version of their popular Model 856 revolver, the 856 Executive Grade, I was eager to do it. SHOT Show 2023 Roundup
Another SHOT Show is in the books, and it’s time for a roundup of some of the products and news that will interest you as RevolverGuys (and Gals–I hope you know you’re always included in that general description, when I use it). So, without further adieu, let’s get to it!
SHOT Show 2022 Roundup
It was a great disappointment when the 2021 SHOT Show was canceled, so I was very eager to travel to Vegas, in mid-January, for the 2022 SHOT Show. I was really looking forward to linking up with all my industry friends, and seeing what the manufacturers had up their sleeves for us RevolverGuys this year. Continue reading “SHOT Show 2022 Roundup”
Guns in Brazil
America is a patchwork quilt of gun laws and public attitudes towards guns. Even though we’re all Americans, the gun culture can look very different from state to state, and region to region.
Review: Taurus 942 .22 LR Revolver
I don’t think I’ve made it any secret, but I am no fan of the .22 Long Rifle. It’s just generally not my cup of tea. Nothing against you if it’s yours, but it has never really blown my skirt up. Though the Ruger Wrangler has found a place in my collection, I remain sort of generally unimpressed with the .22 Long Rifle. Continue reading “Review: Taurus 942 .22 LR Revolver”
