Another SHOT Show is in the books, and it’s time for a roundup of some of the products and news that will interest you as RevolverGuys (and Gals–I hope you know you’re always included in that general description, when I use it). So, without further adieu, let’s get to it!

SHOT Show 2022 Roundup
It was a great disappointment when the 2021 SHOT Show was canceled, so I was very eager to travel to Vegas, in mid-January, for the 2022 SHOT Show. I was really looking forward to linking up with all my industry friends, and seeing what the manufacturers had up their sleeves for us RevolverGuys this year. Guns in Brazil
America is a patchwork quilt of gun laws and public attitudes towards guns. Even though we’re all Americans, the gun culture can look very different from state to state, and region to region.
Review: Taurus 942 .22 LR Revolver
I don’t think I’ve made it any secret, but I am no fan of the .22 Long Rifle. It’s just generally not my cup of tea. Nothing against you if it’s yours, but it has never really blown my skirt up. Your RevolverGuy team went back to Las Vegas for the 2020 SHOT Show last week, to scout out the latest in revolver goodness for you!
Much Ado About Ejector Rod Length
If you hang around RevolverGuys long enough, you will eventually run across a discussion of ejector rod length. Universal Holster: The Galco Switchback
I suppose I’m not like most gun owners. One way in which I likely differ is I like a full complement of support equipment for each gun I own. At a minimum this means one high-quality holster and a couple speedloaders for each of my revolvers. When the Galco Switchback was announced I found myself wondering what utility a universal fit holster would offer me. Continue reading “Universal Holster: The Galco Switchback”
Field Report: Taurus 856 .38 Special
Undoubtedly the coolest thing about starting this blog is how much I’ve learned since. Most of this knowledge is centered around the use of a roundgun, but but a considerable portion is about guns themselves. Some of that is through research and reading, some of it comes from Mike setting me straight, and a lot of it comes from you guys in the comments section. Some of it is gained first hand, though, as was the case with the Taurus family of firearms to which I recently got acquainted through the Taurus 856.
