We get a lot of holsters to review here at RevolverGuy, and not all of them show up in a post when it’s all said and done. Diamond D Custom Leather Butt Cuff & Sling

Long before I began my reviews (Part I, Part II) of the Henry .357 Magnum Carbine, a frequent reader here sent me a photo of his Wiley Clapp GP100 and levergun combo. The Kramer Belt Scabbard & The Colt King Cobra

When conducting my field test of the Colt King Cobra, I neglected to carry this revolver for want of a holster. This is a pretty common problem with firearms that are new to the market. Leather workers and Kydex benders need a little time to catch up to new designs. Though Kramer Gunleather didn’t list a model for the King Cobra, I reach ed out to them anyhow. Galco Combat Master Scabbard

I have been carrying appendix for about three years now and you can put me down firmly in the “appendix guy” category. It’s OK if you’re not – I’m just letting you know where I stand. As much as I like it, though, carrying appendix isn’t always possible. Appendix can get quite uncomfortable if you have to hold a certain position for long periods of time, and some types of dress and activity don’t support the method. The Aker Model 160A IWB Holster

I didn’t want to like this holster.

It wasn’t a question of workmanship or materials. It was obvious from the start that this holster was made of good stuff and had been assembled with care and attention to detail. Guns of The Shootists Holiday

In 1985, notable sixgunner and gun scribe John Taffin joked with some shooting buddies about a week-long range trip where the participants would be limited to bringing a maximum of two firearms.  It started as a fanciful notion, but the idea was too good to dismiss, so Taffin and friends soon found themselves planning the first trip, which came to be known as the “Shootists Holiday.” Continue reading “Guns of The Shootists Holiday”
