There’s a lot of tinkering going on in the shop at Zeta6 these days. Continue reading “New K-PAK and J-CLIP-R Loaders From Zeta-6”
It has been quite some time since I have reviewed a speedloader. To be honest, I thought we had covered just about everything on the market. When I released my comparison article What is the Best Revolver Speedloader, a reader alerted me one that I had missed: the Revision CV Ammo Pod.
The basic operation of a double action revolver is pretty simple and straightforward, but there’s still a lot of room for operator technique. This is certainly true when it comes to reloading the revolver in an emergency. Continue reading “Speedloader Tips and Techniques”
We have been reviewing – or at least examining – speedloaders here since RevolverGuy’s very beginning. I will admit that a lot of our speedloader reviews have been shaped by my personal preferences and bias. Today I’m going to attempt to add some objectivity to the question, “what is the best revolver speedloader?” Continue reading “What is The Best Revolver Speedloader?”
Though things move a little slower here in revolver land than they do in the bottom feeder world, new products are constantly coming and going. Many of them are updates or retreads of existing designs. Occasionally, though, something comes along for RevolverGuys that represents a brand new idea. The NeoMag RASC is one such product. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines serendipity as “the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for.” Serendipity occurs when you unexpectedly bump into a long-lost friend, or find a $20 bill under the sofa cushion when you’re fishing for the nickel that just fell between the cracks.
Serendipity also occurs at the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trades (SHOT) Show, when you blindly stumble into a quiet, non-descript display booth, and discover the world’s most highly-engineered and precisely-manufactured wheelgun—The Janz Revolver. It’s speedloader time again! This week I’m reviewing something that really piqued my interest not because it is brand new, but rather, because what’s old is new again! This week we’ll be looking at the CK Tactical Ripcord speedloader. Continue reading “The CK Tactical Ripcord Speedloader”
It has been quite some time since I’ve written about a new speedloader. I thought I’d just about covered everything that’s out there on the market. Turns out there are a couple of new products popping up. Today I’m going to talk about the new Pachmayr Aluminum Competition Speedloader. Continue reading “The Pachmayr Aluminum Competition Speedloader”
The search for the perfect revolver speedloader continues. I’m willing to try pretty much anything to find that balance of speed, comfort, concealment, and logistical feasibility (cost and availability). This week I am trying the Speed Beez speedloader. Continue reading “The Speed Beez Speedloader Review”
Recently I had occasion to visit Prescott, AZ.
I was invited out to tour the Ruger factory Mike Wood was invited out to the Ruger factory and he was gracious enough to ask me to tag along. During the rest of our time there we did some shooting and did the “mall crawl” through many of the local gun stores. A lot of them had bins of used grips, pouches, nylon holsters, and miscellaneous magazines. There aren’t many guys that enjoy rooting around through stuff like that, but I do, and apparently Mike does, as well. I found some pretty interesting items, but nothing as cool as a beat-up pair of Safariland Split-Six pouches! Continue reading “Safariland Split-Six & DeSantis Second Six Pouches”
